Popsicle Stick Crafts

Easy Craft Stick Projects and Creative Ideas

About

Popsicle Stick Crafts is a free collection of craft stick projects with step-by-step instructions. The tutorials are written for beginners, for families crafting together, and for anyone who wants a small, practical project that needs little more than a bag of sticks and a bottle of glue.

What the site covers

The tutorials are sorted into eight topics:

The full list is on the Tutorials page.

How the tutorials are written

Whole sticks where possible. Each project is designed around standard craft sticks used at full length, so that cutting is kept to a minimum. When a step does need a cut stick, the tutorial says so and explains how to make the cut.

Stick counts. Every project tutorial states how many sticks it uses, so you can check your supply before you begin. Buying a few extra sticks is still sensible, because sticks in the same bag vary and some are warped.

Original designs from simple shapes. The projects are original designs drawn from simple shapes: squares, rectangles, triangles, and hexagons. They rely on common techniques such as stacking, layering, and bracing, and do not reproduce other makers’ commercial patterns.

Illustrations, not photographs. The images on this site are original vector drawings made to show the shape of a project, the position of each stick, and the order of the steps. They are not photographs of finished pieces. Real wood has grain, color variation, and slightly uneven edges, so your result will look a little different from the drawing.

Editorial standards

  • No invented timings. The tutorials do not say how long a project takes or how long glue, paint, or stain needs to dry. Working speed varies from person to person, and drying times vary from product to product; the label of the product you are using is the right source.
  • Generic materials. Materials are named by type, such as white school glue, wood glue, or acrylic craft paint, and not by brand.
  • No sponsored content. The tutorials are not sponsored content, and no brand has paid to be mentioned. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed clearly on the pages concerned.
  • No invented reviews or results. The site does not publish made-up testimonials, ratings, or reader numbers, and it does not claim that a finished project is strong, safe, or suitable for a particular use. The projects are decorative; the Terms of Use include the craft safety notes that apply to every tutorial.

Corrections

If a stick count looks wrong, a step is unclear, or a link is broken, please report it through the Contact page, naming the tutorial and the step. Corrections are welcome.
